Visiting our Campus

All visitors are required to sign-in at the office and obtain a visitor badge. Please be sure to bring identification. Joslin staff will be happy to assist you when checking in as you arrive. This identifies you and keeps students safe. Outside doors and gates will be locked from 7:45 a.m. – 3:00p.m.

For our students' safety, always sign in at the office before going to the classroom.

Whenever possible, please make an appointment to meet with your child's teacher at least one day in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts, especially when extended visits are planned. Also, be mindful that students attend essential area classes once per day, allowing teachers time to communicate with parents and prepare materials. Your child's special areas time corresponds to his/her teacher's planning time.

Classroom visits should be limited to thirty minutes per visit. Longer visits may cause disruptions to learning. Avoid conferencing with your child's teacher during instruction. All teachers have a 45-minute planning period each day. Please call or send a note in advance to schedule a meeting or conference. A planned conference with the teacher is a positive and productive experience.

Lunch

Would you like to enjoy a lunch with your child? Adults are welcome in our dining room. Check your child’s lunch schedule and sign in at the office before joining your child in the dining room for lunch. Please meet the class at the dining room, not in the classroom. Feel free to use the courtyard picnic tables when weather permits.
